Any one heard if they are going to extend the employee pricing? I am a Gm guy but dealers really wear you out trying to buy a new truck. I live in So. FL and found the HD 2500 diesel I want in Georgia. I call and e. mail the internet manager and tell him I want the truck BUT in the details on there official web sight says cloth seats and the pictures show leather seats. I do not want the truck unless it has the leather. I ask him to e.mail or fax me the window sticker or the build sheet. He says he can't do that and to fedex him the check. There must be a lot of people throwing $40,000 dollars around in this economy in Georgia

If you can get me the VIN of the truck, I'll pull up and email you the equipment list on the truck.

4 dr 4 wd HD 250 Duramax short bed. He never called back and would never state in his e.mail that he went out and looked at the truck in person and verify that it had leather in writing. Internet sales manager lie to
Uh, can you not just look up their inventory on Chevrolet.com (or GMC.com)?

Then you'd get the exact window sticker and be able to see for yourself. Often salespeople aren't fully adept at deciphering various options and trims, or, as I've seen in the past week are just loaded down with people trying to buy new vehicles at the last minute of Employee pricing.

I ran into a similar issue with a dealer in KY. The vehicle description showed one thing, but the pics showed another. The dealer I Emailed and spoke to SWORE it was what the details showed in the description. BUT...I asked a friend down there to go take a look...and he found out the seats were what the pictures showed. You'd think the dealer would want to make sure those details matched....

*shrugs*

Unlike often before, the "new" incentives are already up and it basically consists of similar big rebates on the 2008's or 0% for long terms again and shorter terms on vehicles it was never on before. GMC "Truck Month", Chevy "Fall Drive", etc.

Just no more employee pricing, so it's back to negotiating your best price and it not already being set under invoice.

Uh, you can't because it does not show up. Don't YOU think the Internet manager should do his JOB that he gets paid for. Are youa chevy employee sticking up for a moron?

The chevy.com and so on web sites really aren't all that reliable for searching dealer inventory. Only way to be sure and truly see all the options is to do a search on GM Dealerworld.

Agreed, online can only do so much, especially when certain dealers don't have a person constantly updating their inventory daily as it changes.

I agree with both of the last posts, just said what I did because from the initial post it sounded a lot like a truck had just been found in a half arsed local dealer website page without details and that further searching hadn't been done.

Thanks to the DealerWorld script above, now we see exactly what it has;)

Good luck making a deal with any of these dealers. They are all in denial as to the current state of the economy, holding onto their inventory as if it were a daughter's innocence.

I live in South Florida, too and have NEVER bought a car down here. The dealers are the biggest jerks in the country, yoiu can't negotiate anything with them. It has been like that for years.

I purchased all my cars & trucks from FL . I got a great guy at Sherwood in Delray Gmc / Pontiac / Buick / His name is David George. The guy is a straight shooter.1-800-395-2772 if he had the color and options I wanted I would be driving a new GMC RIGHT NOW. The dealer in Georgia tried to pull a fast one. I found a 2006 with 50,000 and purchased it I need a truck right away

I must confess that I, too visited Sherwood and found that they were not anything like the other dealers down here. I dealt with another person, who I thought very highly of. He was also a straight shooter. The only problem was that Sherwood did not have a car I wanted.
