Is Cadillac on the verge of switching to monochromatic emblem on everything?

It’s part of the trend in vehicle styling - to remove color and brightness from a vehicle. It plays with the black wheels, black trim, black grilles, black wheel opening moldings, etc.

I don’t like it.
I remember many years ago I wanted to black out my truck. I had to have my wheels painted because I couldn’t buy black wheels. I had to have my billet aluminum bowtie powder coated because I couldn’t buy a black one. I had to custom paint my tail lights because there were no blacked out tail lights. It made my truck different and unique but it took effort, which showed that I was an actual enthusiast. Now 80% of the trucks on the road are off the factory lot with lift kits, blacked out, black wheels, black everything and it’s just because it’s the “cool“ thing to do, it doesn’t express the actual individuals style. There was a time when you could have a unique vehicle but it took effort, now the factory just pumps them out that way. Same with this new Cadillac emblem, there was a time when guys would swap out grills with emblems like this to be different. But to a point I can understand with the emblem, Cadillac has changed it through the years to keep it looking fresh.
