I'm disappointed that GM chose not to sell the car in North America. This car is head and shoulders above the Cobalt.

the fact that Europe gets it first and we don't is pretty dissapointing

I'm a fan, from an aesthetic perspective. It isn't ground breaking (in fact some aspects are utterly predictable), but it has some detail that identifies it from the crowd. I think some consideration needs to be place against the broad range of customers, to which the Cruze will need to appeal.

Why would I be disappointed when the car hasn't even begun production yet? I think I'll reserve judgment for the car when I get to sit in one.

I think it's a great little car, some weird details (like the little black plastic triangle on the side windows) but otherwise it looks sporty and classy at the same time. The interior is the high point though, they really worked hard on that.

I like it. But I don't like the name or the front end very much.
The name "Cruze" should replace the "Aveo" name. What the hell is an Aveo anyway? It doesn't sound inspiring at all. The Cobalt name having only been around for 1 generation should be able to stick around for a long time. Otherwise what was the point in changing the name from Cavalier to Cobalt??

I agree that the interior is beautiful, though the one thing I don't like about it's & other new car interiors is that they are not aftermarket radio/tuner friendly. :(

I really like it. Doesn't look particularly 'Korean' to me. I quite like that it looks fairly long and low (compared to msot modern cars)... nowadays there are too many short, tall vehicles, and I think long and low looks better. No it's not ground breaking, but not many new cars ever are anymore.

^^^ the radio may not be aftermarket friendly, but you can plug in a sub and be very happy with the factory unit. Corporate units aren't the pathetic afterthoughts they used to be, especially now that some manufactureres are incorporating HD radio.
