I have a 1984 S-10 Pickup. It's RWD and I currently have 300 pounds of weight using sand bags in the box. Is 300 pounds the ideal amount or should I have more?

One of our service writers just came through, and I asked him about this. He said 300 pounds was probably good, though another 50 lbs wouldn't hurt either.

I know I'm more or less the funny guy here, but he also recommended 100 lbs. of sandbags and his ex-wife.

Are you adding weight for any particular purpose?
My 4.3/auto S10 with 225s can barely break loose.
(Although it could wreak havoc on the stock 205s.)
