I don't know if this question was answered once, or anything, but I was curious. What would be the most practical way of rating it? Techinically, you would never have to plug it in, the gas motor could do that for you, and you probably never have to use the gas motor either, so how can the EPA rate this?

lol, that's crazy no answers. It'll probably be one of the "Astrix" mark items.

I think they'll rate the fuel economy while the batteries are charging. While the car's in electric mode, you're getting infinity MPG, once the batteries are drained and the gas motor kicks in to recharge, there's your fuel economy. I think Chevy's original estimate was 150 MPG, not sure if that's changed.
