My daughter pissed her pants in my truck this winter. I cleaned it as good as I could as soon as I got home, but these hot spring days have allowed it to resurface. It stinks in there! I was planning on removing the smaller seat bottom and cleaning it this week. Does anyone know what I could use to remove the smell? I cannot deal with it like it is for much longer.....

This may sound a bit strange, but it works....Go to your local veterinarian and get a bottle of stain and odour remover. It's the same stuff you use if your cat or dog urinates on your couch. Usually a vet will carry better stuff than a pet store. It might be pricey but it should solve your problem.

Good luck! :)

A wet dry vac with carpet shampooer will get the liquids out.
But most likely, the liquid is dried, and all that remains is the urea.

Depending on where the stains are, the shampooer and a bottle of febreeze.

This might sound strange, but gasoline works really good to removes urine and other odors from the interior of a car. :yup: Just soak the area with some gasoline. Let it soak in a bit. Next, soak the rest of the carpeting, seats, everything with gasoline. Then light a match and RUN LIKE HELL!

Make sure you're parked in an empty parking lot, or vacant field somewhere. It works best when nobody is around. It is guaranteed to get rid of the stench. :D

Douse it in vinegar and let it sit. It neutralizes nearly any odor. When Charlie was potty-training he developed a fondness for just taking a whizz on the living room carpet. Vinegar always got all the odor out.

The douchebag smell will linger for a few hours then all odor should be gone.

Works better than Febreze and other chemical-based neutralizers and it's natural.

I use this stuff - it's usually about 4 or 5 bucks for a big bottle - it has a pleasant "neutralizing" smell that is better than some of the more wacky homemade concoctions. Target or Wally-Mart usually have it stocked 'round here:

KIDS 'N' PETS INSTANT ALL PURPOSE Stain & Odor Remover removes urine stains and odors from potty training, bedwetting and adult incontinence. The high speed enzyme formula makes cleanup easy.

Stains and odors are completely eliminated with no cover-up scents or perfumes. This will aid in housebreaking new pets and in cleaning up after older incontinent pets as well.

KIDS 'N' PETS INSTANT ALL PURPOSE Stain & Odor Remover is non-toxic, biodegradable and Cruelty Free.

Tee hee hee! Snorkle snorkle!

Sounds like time for a new truck, as WWI Flying Ace so perceptively suggested.

Vinegar won't mess with the color of the seat??
If it does, just dump some Diet Coke on it when you're finished.
Restores color and texture!

Use "Nature's Miracle". Can be found at Petco, Petsmart, the vet, etc. Works great. Best I've seen for pets or kids. Also works better than any carpet cleaner when used in place of "their" solution.

I've heard this called the "New Jersey New Car" method.
