Holy Volt rip-off Batman! (with some VW mixed in for good measure)
CVTs are not that unusual these days. So far GM is the only compnany that really messed them up. Although Nissan has not being doing great with them in their SUVs either, but that's not on the front pages.
Funny, I always associate the CVT with Subaru. Anyone remember the Subaru Justy from the late 80's? 3 cylinders and a CVT. I was really intrigued by the technology at the time, eventhough the car itself wasn't that great.
