Holden has just announced its Trailblazer 4x4 SUV will be given a new image.

Based on the top-of-the-line Trailblazer LTZ, the limited run of just 400 trucks offers a unique exterior take for an extra $1000.

Visually the Z71 gains a black set of 18-inch alloys (shared with the Colorado Z71), black accenting on the body, beltline and B-pillar; black painted mirrors, plus a Z71 hood treatment. Inside, the heated front seats feature the Z71 logo embroidered into the upholstery.

"The Trailblazer Z71 special edition adds stand-out styling to our adventure-ready, family-friendly 4x4 SUV, showing customers they really can have it all," said Holden's Comms boss, Sean Poppitt.

"With its impressive performance on and off roads as well as its connectivity and active safety technology, Trailblazer has already proved itself a well-equipped performer and now with new black wheels and black styling features it can do it all with an even greater presence on the roads."

Available in White, Red, Grey or Black, Holden says the initial batch of 400 special edition Trailblazer Z71s will go on sale starting in June.
