GTO ADDS HORSEPOWER TO NEW USA NETWORK PRODUCTION
Pontiac Breaks New Ground With Marketing Collaboration
DETROIT – The new Pontiac GTO will lend its on-screen “performance” to a new film by Rob Cohen, director of The Fast and the Furious and xXx. The Last Ride will debut as a new theatrical-release-for-television event in the second quarter 2004 on USA Network.

Pontiac sold more than 475,000 vehicles in 2003, ranking third among GM divisions in total sales.

sorry to hijack the thread, but i came across this quote in the "The Last Ride" article. chevrolet, GMC, then pontiac, i presume? some can argue pontiac doesn't have a real direction... but you sure can't ignore the importance to GM with numbers like that!

oh yeah... the movie... sounds like the GTO (old and new) will factor as a major focus in the flick! too bad it'll not get much publicity.

Robotech? Bah, watch the original...it's Hikaru baby!! ;)

And if the movie is good, who cares if it's on USA? Word of mouth will help some...

Yes, they kept the Minmay, Minmei name for that character. She's actually a lot less annoying in Macross then in Robotech especially in DYRL...plus, Mari Iijima can actually sing compared to Reba west. :)


I want to see the GTO on TV already!
