Rick Wagoner
GM chairman/CEO
FLINT, Michigan -- Days before Rick Wagoner told the world that General Motors would lay off more salaried workers and further cut truck production, he offered some hopeful words about the company's future -- particularly in Flint.
Wagoner, GM chairman and chief executive officer, responded in writing to 10 questions from The Flint Journal. He reflected on the company's 100th anniversary, the future of truck production in Flint and a possible inroad for this area to plug into the automaker's plans to build an electric car for market by 2010.
