So can we officially put the stupid "Ram is only gaining marketshare by giving their trucks away" argument to rest now?

Along with the "Pick-ups are the most profitable products" one?

That we can.

With the new Ford F-150 arriving at dealerships as we speak, the pickup truck war is now in full swing. May the best metal win.

Ho, Ho, Ho.

Who you callin' a Ho'?
Kinda makes buying a Colorado/Canyon pretty pointless. (Stirring the pot.)

Or it just shows how profitable they are that GM, Ford and Ram can keep throwing these incentives on the hood and still book a profit.

It's just another way of giving $10K off.
If I were in the market for a FS truck, I would expect this much or more.
It's been this way for awhile now.

certain Buick Enclave, verano and Lacrosse are in there too, along with Sierra Double cabs starting today.

No. This is only for the holidays. Ram does it as a business model.

Must be Total Recall Motors is having a problem moving their antique hardware with the rollout of superior competition.

Yes they(Ram) do, but i bet with the new F150 GM will be looser with the discounts.

0% for 84 months AND cash back on ALL models? They are buying marketshare.

This is a smart promotion honestly. It gets the old ones off the lot without having to put cash on ALL the models. Its a pick and choose. People know when the deals happen and they usually get whatever they want. Now, GM has come up with a way to limit it and you have to pick out of stock what you want or play the gamble and see what the new incentives will become.

I'd disagree. It only applies to those in stock the longest, which means those trucks are configured with least desirable combinations. I searched and searched and eventually ordered my truck because I won't settle for the picked over ones on the lot. I'm betting I'm not a minority buyer.

Quick look at the three largest dealerships in my area. A total of 3 V8 double cab trucks meet the 20% criteria.
Sucks GM is doing this on the crew cabs. Dad is looking for a 1500 Silverado/Sierra and while he liked the double cab he drove the other day mom didn't and she always gets the final say. The RAM's are significantly cheaper so we'll be checking them out as well.
Gm had to do something. The 20 percent gets people's attention and there was no way GM was gonna let mustang sell more than camaro for 2014.

Does it even count when the incentive only qualifies for roughly 1 out of every 25 trucks on the lot? A lot of hoopla over these rebates which are hard to find...
