So many factors affect gas mileage in real world driving conditions and it is good to see that GM is making an effort to improve the fuel economy of their truck and suv's. Displacement on demand is supposed to help out as well. The simple fact still remains that these trucks and suv's will be gas hogs compared to driving 4 cylinder economy cars any day. I get decent gas mileage out of my 6.0L 2500HD 4x4 all things considered. I average 13.5 mpg or so. It see over 16mpg on long road trips even doing 70mph. Not to bad for a gas V8 in a truck the weighs almost 3 tons unloaded... :D
