How unfortunate for the American economy. Oh well. I guess I'm off to the Toyota dealer to pick up another Camry.
Do you think before you post something like that? Are you trying to be funny?
Maybe if half the people who think like you would by a superior Malibu it would help our economy. Maybe GM would be a little bit less stressed.

I think he is being sarcastic guys....

He is poking fun at the mindless sheeple that dont think things like this will hurt them...

Though they did say by the end of 2009, which is like 14 months from now, so things could change.

though some will say it's not all his fault, the blame for this continued downward spiral is G Richard Wagoner. he should have been tossed years ago, right after the Fiat Fiasco. the man is a crook as well as incompetent. guarantee you there will be more and more closings as long as this clown remains. Toyota and Honda know how to operate. Toyota has the cash to finance and lease, they understand product development. Honda owns Columbus Ohio, and now will dominate Indianapolis with their new plant nereby. GM is run by idiots who actually think they know the car business.

more than time for a revolt against the Board and the regime of Red Ink Rick!

Yeahhh. I was being sarcastic.

The point I was trying to make is if American's weren't so brainwashed into loving Toyota, more American cars would have been sold and these people never would have lost their jobs.

Seriously man...I agree that the guy can be an idiot. I agree that he's made bad decisions. I DO NOT need to hear it every single time I click on a thread.

People are losing their jobs here. People with families to feed. Show some respect and quit trying to push your agenda in a thread like this.

Good Evening Buickman:

First of all I do understand your frustration, years of service, and the feeling that the company doesn't appreciate it. But a word of caution: This internet site is being broadcasted internationally! When you write accusations, and state the character of persons, you may become liable for Civil Action. Under certain conditions you might also be subject for disciplinary action leading up to termination for insubordination of a Senior Officer.

One thing I have learned about your boss, is that he has "thick skin." My superiors would have had your head on a charger, years ago, and you would have been blacklisted.

Best Wishes,

:drive:

Executive management is not singly at fault here. Union leaders, the Board, and shareholders are just as complicit because they are busy fiddling while Detroit burns. If GM is not in crisis mode now, they may never be. I only hope that the bankruptcy judge will do a better job continuing operations.

You may be right in stating that bankers are actually running GM and they would like to see our factories moved to markets with cheaper labor. Maybe someday, when North American workers are at pay parity with Thailand, manufacturing will return. We will be hauling our rice staple home in a Chevy rickshaw while billion-dollar executives look down at us from their golden penthouses.

Middle class Americans, largely selfish and ignorant, are unconcerned about the big picture of politics, finance, and class warfare. They vote the same puppets in time and time again. One day they will wake up to discover the shackles around their feet, but by then, it will be far too late to do anything about it. As goes GM, so goes the country.
