It seems as if GM isn't affected by the US hate, then again not all hate the US not even in the Middle East

GM has always done well in the Middle East, watch a news report from anywhere in the Middle East and you see old GM cars in the back ground, especially the RWD mid-size and full size cars. General Motors of Iran used to assemble knocked down domestic GM cars in Iran, cars like the 1975-1979 Seville and the Buick "Iran", which was the same as the X-body 1975-1979 Skylark, of course this all ended when Jimmy Carter let the Iran fall into the hands of the Iyatolah Komeini.

Chevy's brand, freedom and transportation for all people is also very appealing in the third world. While many westerners are depressed and even anti-progress, the third world is young and full of energy, and excited about business and their own increase in standard of living.. The car is the ultimate in freedom and material ownership. And Chevy is about value per dollar spent and built so the average person can afford it.

Imo 'Brand America' the brands associated with America's high standard of living for the average person and individual freedom, are far more popular in the rest of the world then it is widely thought. The news media talks to some socialist intellectuals or elites from these nations.. or it talks to violent groups and their reactionary beliefs and asks them what the people want there? But how often do they talk to just the average person in countries like the middle east.
