GM-owned Opel preparing Spark-sized EV?

A report coming out of Germany finds that General Motors' Opel division is in the early stages of developing a new electric vehicle based on the Karl city car that will be presented at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
Opel will toss out the Karl's gasoline-burning 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and replace it with a compact electric motor that will spin the front wheels. It is too early to tell what kind of battery pack the yet-unnamed EV will be fitted with but
Auto Bild believes it will offer a total driving range of about 93 miles.
