At the third CNBC Autocar Awards, the car of the year award was given to Honda City while the Bajaj Wind won the best motorcycle award of the year 2003. Maruti Udyog Limited got the manufacturer of the year for its overall performance in 2003. At the ceremony held on January 14, the awards were given across 10 categories by Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dik****.

Among the other award categories, Mercedes Benz SL 500 bagged the most stylish and best technology car of the year award and Ford's Endeavour was judged as the SUV of 2003.

The viewer's choice award was given to Chevrolet's Optra. This model of General Motors also received the best value for money car award.

The awards were given to new models of passenger cars, SUVs and motorcycles introduced in the year 2003.

Technical support for road testing was provided by Auto Car India - the auto magazine.

If Reliability and quality scores come in well, Pontiac should get this as an entry car and ditch the Sunfire or a Cobalt clone.

good call. pontiac canada does NOT need the wave (aveo clone). a rebadged and sported up optra and optra5 would make MUCH more sense. pretty slick interior for $16,000 (CAD)! and 4 wheel dic brakes! wowzers!
