I also got my $500 bonus in the mail, but only on my original card from '93, not my later card with redemption limits. The later card would be better because in the past when they made these bonus offers they would also suspend the redemption limit while the bonus was in effect. I've accrued nearly $4k on that card since I haven't purchased new since 2018.

This new bonus offer proves that inventory is improving, at least for GM.

I think the issue here might be that I have the Extended Family GM Card, not the normal GM Card. I'm still gaining earnings every month but rewards points have all been from dealer service visits and parts purchases.

I'm confused. It's both. Doesn't everyone with the standard GM card have both the Rewards and Earnings listed separately in the web console?

Whooaa... you've reached the Holy Grail of Marcus. I believe that's what's supposed to happen for many of us but Marcus has failed to complete the transition for some of us. I can only see my "earnings" on my Marcus credit card portal and statement. At least they do increase every month but I did have to call to fix that function. I do have a separate GM Rewards login since 2017 that does have 22k points that equates to very little.

When I login to the rewards site, I show the new rewards points available (earn, redeem, history). Scroll down further and it shows "Already have a GM Card™, GM Extended Family Card™ or GM Business Card" Edit or Link card to show the earnings. When you click on manage earnings, it sends you to the old gmcard site that shows the redemption limits, etc.

I just spent quality time(nearly an hour) with Kahlin on online chat at GM Rewards. It was tedious but we managed to get both the new GM Rewards and old 5% GM Earnings programs linked. I can finally see the redemption limits which are nowhere near as lucrative as they once were.

Thanks to Snizzle for inadvertently getting me to force my way through the punishment session needed to finally link the Marcus card program madness. Perhaps I'm one step closer toward my next GM purchase.

tripower my main card has the redemption limits. I changed voluntarily (many years ago). This current bonus does not remove the redemption limits (sometimes in the past they did) BUT you can use the bonus above the redemption limit.

I just called and got mine linked where I can see my rewards and EARNINGS again (after a year) too ! Took 5 minutes.

I find it humorous that many years ago these "Top Off Bonus" offers went as high as $4k or more in rare cases. Nowadaze ATP is nearly DOUBLE yet we're offered a meager $500 but we're happy because it's been zero for a few years.

500 bucks eh? I will have to look. Honestly, with the crazy price increase of 2022 on the stuff my family bought especially the BOF rigs, 500 is like peeing in the Pacific Ocean. I thank god I had price protection or I wouldn’t have bought either. A Yukon for ‘23 like the one in the barn is now 6K more and a Sierra like it is 6K more too.

2022 MCM Sierra Denali 4WD SWB ‘free paint’ (Summit White) w/5.3L and no options was $64,595.00 all in at sticker. (When ordered in December of 2021 and priced just one year ago January of 2022)

Same Yukon today has a sticker of $68,995.00.

Same Sierra today has a sticker of $70,845.00.

I don’t know about y’all but pay increases weren’t percentage wise what those prices went up. Just over a ten percent price increase on both in year. I know my salary didn’t go up percentage wise that much. However, I am sure they will ‘trade well’ for a while due to not paying over sticker.

However, back to the 500 it is better than a poke in the eye.
