Nothing. Anyone who missed the sale now now has to deal with their lose. :D

Seriously though, I have no Idea.

My parents delayed the purchase of a new car because they had to shell out a bunch of money to repair the hurricane damages. I told them to buy when they had a chance, but for some reason they were more concerned with the holes in the roof.

Old people......now I'll never get them into a GM car.

The employee discount wasn't all that great anyways on cars like the Malibu and Aura. It was, however, a nice deal on the Lucerne V8.

08 models will have different combined "bonus cash" offers with no customer rebates. Many 08 Silverados and Tahoes now have slightly better deals when you stack bonus cash offers, with dealer cash now available! Have a GM card? It will likely be topped off! Traverse can qualify for $1,000 conquest (I think). 2009 Malibu has a $500 rebate, 09' Impala has $1,000. It's the end of the year and 08's are moving fast. It is still a great time to buy a new GM!

GM’s Employee Discount ended yesterday…what’s next?
First they layoff any and all contracted employees (done)
Then they sell any and all surplus land, factories or other assets (underway at a time when they have NEVER been worth less)
Then they sell Hummer, Saab, Saturn, Oldsmobile or any brand with any value for pennies on the dollar (almost done)
Then we watch helplessly as GMAC implodes (any day now)
We also watch (again helplessly) as Delphi slips into Chapter 7... and all of our loans and "extensions" with it

Then we declare Chapter 11...

Hi,

Earlier today, I read this in the Detroit Free Press:

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081001/BUSINESS01/81001050/1014/BUSINESS01
;)

"General Motors Corp. launched a campaign of 0% financing for up to six years, or up to $7,000 total cash back, for many 2008 model-year vehicles today.

The new campaign, available to borrowers with excellent credit, runs through Nov. 3 and replaces more than a month of offering employee discounts to all buyers."

It's only for the '08 models...but better than nothing.

BL (in San Fran - home of the import buyers).
