Kia Amanti?
No, MG :p ... it has the V8 of the Mustang GT
The heading for this thread is incorrect as the car shown in the photos is not an MG but in fact the new Rover V8. The grille badge is a dead giveaway.

In my opinion it's a lovely looking car -- much, much better in person than in the photos. The interior beats anything Jaguar has offered for years too.
Ity has a Audi fascia with an Amanti grille, that VW things' headlights, and people thought brand identitiy was bad at GM!!
MG-Rover is one of the smaller automotive companies. Stripped of Mini and Land Rover and spat back out by BMW, MG-Rover is struggling to make headway in the market. I applaud their lastest efforts. Definitely has a British flair to it. From what I hear, MG-Rover is trying to get their model line upgraded and re-engineered so they can enter the U.S. market...

P.S.--It's a Rover 75 V-8, not an MG ZT! ;) However, the ZT and the 75 are twins.
that thing has a v8? where did you see that??? LOL
that thing is homely. I swear, the rest of the world is really trying to help GM out.
My father restored a MG B Roadster for a friend a year ago, now that was a good looking car, this thing is hideous, even for an executive cruiser. thier other concept is alot better.

IT IS NOT AN MG! Rover is MGs larger sibling. If you want an MG-Rover sports car, look at the MG TF. That is their sports car. You can't compare a large sedan to an MGB. The TF is pretty sporty though.

Rumours say MG/Rover is merging with Proton/Lotus, which should make them a semi-legit player again outside North America.

BMW did a good job of removing the best parts but I still think there's some play left in the brand.

And yes this is a Rover not an MG.
MG ZT 260 V8
Alpha-Numberic naming at its best, and you thought CTS was confusing...
Rover is using the 4.6L SOHC 260hp V8 from Ford for the MG ZT 260. It's RWD, which is different from the standard MG ZT and Rover 75 which are FWD.

Wow, that bad for them huh. I feel bad that they are struggling though. What's the whole story of Rover? When did they get seperated from Land Rover?

BMW bought them in the 90's sometime, sold Land Rover to Ford (after developing the Range Rover), and ran off with Mini.
Rover/MG is sort of like Pontiac/Buick. Rover is Buick the upscale car and MG is Pontiac the sports division. It's an independent British car company. That car is a Rover. Hey it's a RWD V-8 powered sedan and you can buy one, to bad it's not owned by GM and sold here.
