19K in July, 21K in August, and say 25K - 30K in September? That is still only 260K - 280K on an annualized rate, absolutely horrible, and going to get a lot worse.

 

Yet its probably similar sales to Buick and Cadillac combined.

 

I stopped in at a Vermont Chevy dealer last week and saw many Equinox and Blazer EVs on the lot...wait for it...ALL WITH RED "SOLD" SIGNS ON THEM. The dealer said ALL of his incoming EV units had deposits attached for delivery before 09-30.

I'm also in Vermont. A friend was interested in an Blazer EV and said they were selling like hotcakes. Vermont is probably a bit of an outlier in EV demand though

Another glowing review!

The proximity sensor for the trunk doesn't seem like it'll work for many. A good concept but my guess is it'll be opening a lot when people don't want it to be. Just like GM's key left in car sensor that blows the horn a few times as a warning - great idea but it falses a lot and using the horn for the alarm is needlessly loud. They have to know this - just surprises me they use tech like this that probably isn't going to work for many people.

 

Not bad for a somewhat limited market. True that the ending of the $7,500 credit might be a game changer to the bad, but I'll wait and see. GM has a compelling BEV lineup vs. a lot of the competition and is serving them well so far.

 

Exactly, even though the credit is going away doesn’t mean the manufacturers won’t be including incentives just like every other ice vehicle. I don’t know why folks think people will completely stop buying EVs.

 

GM really needs the new battery and drive motor tech to push that weight down. Any sports cars or better range and charging isn't going to happen until then.

 

Yea, a lot has already been achieved with just the first generation of Ultium. It will be important to finally fill in the caps with a Lambda sized EV and small/midsized pickups

 

Though there is bound to be a dip once the $7500 credit goes away, I wonder how much the new Bolt will mitigate, or make up the difference.
