Very interesting supplement to human inspections. I'm assuming this is a static scan done when the vehicle is off. I can see future generations that can interpret sounds (engine running) - though I guess if you can hear the sound you don't need fancy equipment to tell you there is a problem
But, would be neat if you could put the car on rollers, like testing hp, and run through the gears with the sensors listening and detecting vibrations, etc. - expensive though.
