26 mpg mixed driving, I do tend to drive my car hard.

In a week? Probably two tanks of gas, I drive a minimum of 300 miles a week, one tank of gas is 300 miles.

If I were to drive very carefully, I could probably squeeze another 100 miles out of the tank, I've done it a few times before...

I average 24 mpg in mixed driving, which gets me a good 3 weeks (yes, I don't drive that much at the university ;) ) to a tank.

Still finding out since I havent had the car a week. So far so good though. I hope it is better than the 16-17 I got with the Equinox which really wasnt bad for an SUV. If this Impala is like the 2000 Monte Carlo I had it should get about 21-22 in town. About 30-32 in highway use. If it does thaat it will make me very happy. Mine has the 3.5 liter engine. I likely wont try E-85 unless things really get bad.

The TrailBlazer has been averaging 17.5 mpg over 4 or 5 fillups, which could be about a month. That includes city driving, some suburban and two highway trips a week to pick up the grandson or to babysit the grandaughter. I'm probably getting 22 mpg on the highway, 14 or 15 in city type driving.

I expect the mileage to go down due to the winter weather and increased use of 4WD with the early snow we've had.

I'm thankful for the $1.52 a gallon for gas, because tomorrow, I get to take a 60 mile roundtrip to pick up the grandson, then Sunday it's another 60 mile roundtrip to take him back home.

I calculated 19.5 mpg when I filled up today.:( Winter grade gasoline just kills the mileage on my car. That does in include some choppy highway driving (why do people get in the passing lane and then slow down?!) and many cold starts. I know I can do so much better than 19.5 mpg. I have averaged 24 mpg in mixed driving before. I have calculated 28 mpg after a long highway trip.
