lol, nice find. Did you see all the orange peel on the door/fender area?

51 mpg in the real world, crappy driving dynamics, and an interior worthy of Fisher Price........it sounds like a legitimate Prius review to me.

If the Volt even drives as well as a Cobalt, it'll be the best car ever! ;)

He hit the nail on the head. When I drove one my impressions were the same. That STUPID, distracting touch screen in the middle that controls EVERYTHING. What was wrong with a volume knob anyway? Driving was a numb experience for people with short legs. Handling and acceleration were as poor as a 2001 Chevy Malibu. He's right, the Prius is more about timing than anything.

Well, that's kind of where I disagree with the "reviewer"....regarding timing. I mean this wasn't the first generation Prius.....technically it wasn't even the 2nd generation Prius. The first gen was sold in Japan only. The second gen looked like an Echo, and was even uglier than the current one we all think of when we hear the word "Prius". So to summarize....it wasn't just timing. Toyota was improving a product from the start (1997)...but this review happened in 2007/8 as best as I can tell.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Come to think of it.....I am not eating up everything this guy is saying. The EV1 started production in 1996, and the Prius just one year later!?!? But this guy is making a virtual map pointing to batteries in the Prius, to Chevron, to Exxon, to GM, to EV1. Wow, Toyota must be master thieves to make it go down as claimed.

While it is not the most well luxurious car on the market it is good at delivering what people that buy it want, and that is MPG. If you have to carry 1-4 people it is a practical car to have. It is no where as ugly as the Aztek that is for sure.
