dang, i was hoping that they were bringing back the 302 and 351 windsor small blocks.
way back when we first heard about the Hurricane/BOSSes
I remember reading that a crate/racing engine was getting the 302 size & name

Ah, the Five Oh, the last great Ford V8. Let this be a lesson to those who screamed that OHC's are better than OHV's

The engine Windsor is getting is the upcoming 5.0L DOHC direct injection V8. Right now rumors seem to indicate that this engine will produce 400 or more hp and more than 360lb-ft of torque with a nice, early torque peak and a relatively flat torque curve....and both of those numbers are generally considered conservative. Fuel efficiency will be much improved compared to the Mod motors it will be replacing as well which is a hard combination to argue with.

I'd say that makes a hell of an argument for overhead cams.
