Saw the Flex at the Chicago Auto Show and the interior was very impressive. Looks like they used upscale materials. I am not sure how the public is going to embrace the exterior but at least it is different.

They have told us "Dealers" That the Flex was going to be an "Upscale Model"

262 HP is a good start but the Lambdas have 275hp and now 286 on the DI models, the Ecoboost couldnt come sooner haha

I have to say, I didn't like the Flex that much when it was introduced, but now I like it. I think Ford has a minivan replacement winner. It'll do well.

I just wish they would change the stupid name, I much prefered the Fairlane name, and I hope the rumors of the DI turbo 3.5 liter as a later engine option are true

262 horses is not a bad start but when compared to the lambdas 276 horsepower V6 and the DI models 286 horses it looks a little underpowered however the interior is the best I've seen in a ford in years and it looks like there will be plenty of cargo room with the seats folded down

Is the Flex based off an exsisting platform or a new one?

Still more exciting then a Saab
haha that funny, sorry but are you the same guy that thought Ford was ripping off Saabs rims? Not to cause conflict but just putting it out there...

Not me, I rarely if ever talk about a car's rims

I was merely stating the resemblance. It doesn't really matter.

But really, its a big rectangle.
