It's hard to say, if Ford hold even on sales they probably will as the employee pricing is costing Ford less than the incentives they had last month. Look it up, the rebates and final price are higher under this "employee discount" than the regular price was last month after dealer discounts and the large rebates that were discontinued.

Thats why my new truck is not in my driveway yet. The "latest greatest" is actually $2000 worse than last months deals.

My dealership says that noone is looking with the Employee pricing, because shoppers of trucks are really watching the incentives, and are not stupid. He expects to see additional incentives toward the end of the month, as Ford sees that they are getting nowhere. He also expects the truck we want to still be sitting there (it is a highly optioned F250 4x4 Lariat V10).

Frankly, I never thought that I would be looking at buying a truck with a MSRP of $47K. However, the other side of that, is this truck will probably be with our family forever. It will do anything we will ever need.

i don't like this idea.it hurts the overall value on an F150.i think it's Fords way to clear out their inventory, and make way for their new 09 model.i should've bought a King Ranch. My XLT is as nice as they come with the 5.4L V8,but i think it's not a good idea to push this gimmick to boost sales.I never liked the Chevy/GMC trucks, and there's no way on earth would i buy a Dodge or Toyota either.Just face it;General Motors flopped on their trucks, and as bad as it is,Ford outsold them with an outgoing model.

The point, is that the employee pricing is not as good of a deal as last months rebates. Last month, you could get, lets say, $4000 off of your $47K truck (from the dealership), plus $5000 in rebates (from Ford). Now, on the same truck, it is $5500 off, for Employee pricing, and $2000 in rebate (from Ford).

Lets be real here. Right now, resale on any truck sucks, and nothing is going to change that. It isn't Fords, GM's, or Chryslers fault. It just is what it is. The only reason I am going to buy a truck (and am trying to get the best deal I can), is because it will probably be the last truck we buy........... thus, we aren't looking at ever having to sell it. At 6000 miles a year, or less, it will be very happy in my family. LOL

They will put the employee discount to lower inventory and make room for the new one since that one will hit dealers by late august september and I bet that a lot of dealers will not order much of the new trucks if they have lots of the old ones sitting there
