I'm truly sorry for your trouble (although that's a heck of an expensive-complicated engine for a 60k-American powertrain warranty).

What kind of deal can you get on an Ebay engine?

Had too many friends with Ford powertrain component failures to think they would step up and help you (despite the Ford apologists here).

Hope you're back running and cheaply quickly.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, and that Ford didn't offer somesort of AWA, if for no other reason than to have engineir figure out what happened.

Your selling Dealer would be better at recieving AWA. Sometimes full payment, sometimes 50/50 split. Usually Ford would pay for parts, customer pay for labour, then the Selling Dealer slashes the labour rate.
Unless they're (Ford) is fully aware of what happened having seen it before. I guess it may be regional, but having contacts at most local dealerships, they report Ford is tightest out of all the manufacturers with customer assistance out of warranty (as in tranny failure 3k miles out-still in time-zero offer of assistance)

This is the most riduculous post in this story, someone complains about an engine problem if true it sucks. But then you have the mindless cleuless souls taking it hook line and sinker. "Not a fan of ecoboost after hearing this story..." like this one instance trumps millions of ecoboost sales and rave reviews. Failures happen in all engines! :lmao:
We hear rave reviews about the performance. Fuel mileage reviews range from "meh", to "it sucks".

To see a higher % failures in the more complicated F150 Ecoboost engine vs. the GM 5.3 V8 is hardly news. But add that to 40k miles lower powertrain warranty coverage, and you get some p.o.'ed owners who post in multiple forums. In Ford's defense, they were hardly shady in their powertrain warranty coverage disclaimers. But all an owner remembers is "all that power with the mileage of a V6".
