That is a good question. If I remember right all of the 5.3L GMT-900's should have it along with the Impala 3.9L and 5.3L. as for the rest I really don't think they'll get much of anything in the 2009 model year. GM may be waiting for the next gen of the current models to implement E85 Flex Fuel tech into the rest of the line up. Good question though.

I do know that there is a company in Boulder, CO that sells conversion kits for any car 1985 and newer. They even converted a motorcycle to run off of E85. The are called Flextek. Sounds very legitimate. It would cost me about $550 to convert my Suburban to E85 and about $350 to convert my Ion to E85. With the rise of gas prices it may be worth the conversion, it only depends on how much the price of E85 goes up. Anyone know what to expect the price of E85 to be this summer?

Ran across what would appear to be the RPO for the E85 compatible Ecotec 2.4, LE9. The RPO listed for the 2009 Malibu 2.4 is LE5 which is unchanged from the 2008 model year. So it would appear at least now that the Malibu is one few or last remaining models in Chevy's lineup that doesn't have an E85 offering, Corvette being the other model that doesn't offer E85 compatibility.

Do any of the OEM's offer a gasoline to flex fuel conversion kit for models that weren't orginally flex fuel compatible?
