The wheels look perfectly round to me.....maybe different computers are showing different formats? It looks badass though! I like how little squat there is during braking. That video is stretched vertically, which makes the car look narrow and tall. If you pause it with 0:01 sec left, you get a direct side view and the wheels are oval. Any car in this format will look pretty bad, but the fact that the Camaro still looks okay from certain angles says that it will be a stunner on the road. It should look nice and wide, chopped, and sporty.
I'm sure hoping that is pre-production stuff. At the 22-24 second mark, that panel fit is very wavy varies a lot. That better not be production quality!Looks like they are having a little panel fit problems where the hood meets the front fascia.
:fall: That's funny! I will probably literally laugh out loud next time I'm in my bland, underpowered, Asian car (Camry) and see a Camaro on the road. :yup:"I think I should post some comment about a mullet so I can feel better about my bland, underpowered, asian car" --Every Jalopnik Member
Generally it looks beautiful, but is does look like it has a huge a$$.I feel like the car is kinda two-faced; from most angles it looks great, but every once in a while it looks bloated and chunky. Also, thank goodness for the sunroof instead of guido t-tops.
Don't be sorry,.....just GTFO....Sorry!!
This is an ugly designed car :
No but it will have better performance than past V6's and the V8 version will blow the door off of that older version you speak of. People have to remember that as safety guidelines increase so do the weight of cars it has happened to almost every auto maker. But with a DI engine this car should do well with the base V6.But this car is TOO HEAVY. GM is going in the wrong direction
4th gen - 3400 lb
5th gen - 3700 lb YIKES!!
And all you people thinking the 295HP V6 is going to be your option to go with, well it's not going to have the same performance as that '95 Z/28 that had 295HP V8..
Just my $.10
Jennifer Lopez is hot even with the big rear.....or is it because of the rear? :hyper: Oh, you meant the Camaro!Generally it looks beautiful, but is does look like it has a huge a$$.
I would like to think that someone wouldn't seriously have expected V8 performance from a V6, even if the HP was the same? The V8 made a lot more torque too. As far as the weight, it does suck, but we can blame the government and it's crash test safety expectations, as well as insurance companies. Getting one door to be strong enough to meet standards takes about as much weight as 2 doors and a B-pillar (I'm thinking out loud about side impact crash testing....coupes vs. sedans). But this car is TOO HEAVY. It could be slightly different aspect ratios due to monitor settings, but the other photos I've seen do have round wheels, so I'm inclined to believe it's the video. Here's the screenshot with yellow circles for comparison:The wheels look perfectly round to me.....maybe different computers are showing different formats? It looks badass though! Does anyone know if the taillights are LED or bulb?
During a run around the test track 2 years ago the camo was flapping in the wind. I hope that was pre-production camo cause if not Toyota and the press are going to kill GM and the car will totally fail sending the company into bankruptcy. But otherwise it's a great car and I plan to buy 7 of them.
Unless it doesn't have a nav unit then I'm going to shoot the driver of every GM car I see b/c not having an automated voice give you incomplete directions to your mother-in-law's favorite restaurant equals complete failure. Why is GM so stupid that it just wants to fail?
Come on GM, you can do it! Create the world class cars that we know you can and take back the American market!!! It should be as easy as making oversimplified proclamations and using exclamation points!!!!!
But what GM really needs to do:
Chevy
Aveo: make it world class and get 112mpg
Malibu: make the $10K two-mode standard equipment on the base model to make a statement
Impala: go rwd with 675hp and rename it Lumina!
Pontiac
Everything built off the non-existant stretched Kappa platform
Buick
All models should be rwd 2 door coupes
Cadillac
Make the ULS top priority over everything else
Bring the SLS in from China even though it performs like a stretched STS
Put more chrome on the Slade so people notice it more
Also, why no Firebird?
