I've been having way more brake dust on my Silverado than in any other Chevrolet that I've ever owned. In fact, the pads on the Trailblazer were still origional will past 100,000 miles. I take good care of my vehicles, and I try not to have a heavy foot.

Seeing the brake dust problem was no big deal. I wash my truck often anyways....but lately I've noticed that my brakes squeak more and more every day.

Is this normal? My truck has 22,000 miles and is almost exactly 1 year old. I've done a little moderate towing with it (4500 lbs....4 or 5 times mostly highway).

I've noticed that the front right is a bit worn, and the brakes don't "feel" the same. Is this a warranty item or is this some kind of freakish wear.

I'm going to see what the dealer says. If they want to charge me for new GM pads, then I'm going to have to do some research on other, better brands. I'm not doing this every 10 months just to have GM parts in my truck. I can't help it if they forgot how to make brake good pads.

Hopefully it's something that can be easily adjusted.

It has nothing to do with them making good brake pads, it's buying good brake pads to put on the truck from a supplier.

I dont have info on the new truck--- but
I too have a trailblazer (03).
And my front pads were replaced at 77,000 miles with the pads still having about 15-20% pad left- Im sure I could have done 100K on them.
I now have 131,000-- and the rear pads are still factory (and about 50% pad left).
Ive also never turned the rotors.
