Escalade V-sport?

Anyone hear about a proposal for an Escalde V-sport powered by the LF4 twin-turbo V6 and given a lightening treatment similar to the Tahoe PPV (i.e. no third row, no roof rack, no tow hooks, etc.)?

Negatory, but that sounds pretty sweet. Didn't know the PPV was lightened like that.
Escalade should get a Vsport model. Or, at least an engine with more power than the base 6.2L V8. It needs it.

Vsport needs the Z06 motor
This.

Even the LF4 doesn't offer enough of an "increase" to make the Vsport a Vsport. They'd ultimately need the LT4.
The Escalade name has so much weight itself than Cadillac could make a $150K Escalade and it would sell. GM is too stupid to see that and are doing nothing about it.
May be in the plans. Its still very early. The Escalade just came out.
With the Escalade being so big and heavy could it ever do justice to the V name? But more power would be sweet!

They almost did a LS9 Escalade-V. Vsport should give them the flexibility
A high perfomance diesel would be sweet.

Yes, give the "performance" version a smaller engine than the stock engine. That makes sense. It should get a SC 6.2L. What is wrong with the liberal posters on this forum? Every last one of you.

That's why I'm not entirely on board with an Escalade-V or Vsport. Overall performance really isn't the Escalade's forte, but a "super Escalade" would be; by that I mean more luxury, style, and power. Escalade Supercharged seems too simple a name, but it fits.
Will never ever never ever never ever happen. The Code 130R would happen first.
This.

Yeah. Plus it's not a track-focused performance model, it's just an excuse for an unnecessarily big engine in an unnecessarily big truck that they can charge unnecessarily high prices for.

This.

They need an EXECUTIVE Escalade with a real rear seat package. I'm feeling a private jet-inspired rear seat space with an LT4.

Not everything has to be classy and elegant. Pick your battles. An Escalade like that would make a STATEMENT.

No, that's why there's Vsport.

Instead of ESV, drop in the LT4 and call it ESCV

V-SPORT, not V

Don't get your panties in a bunch, its just and idea. I do thiink you'll see a version of it at some point, especially after they punch up the HP on it.

However, I happen to agree with you, it should get the SC 6.2L.

Says who?

But in your face, see me luxury is. And adding the SC 6.2L only adds to the Escalade's heritage. BTW, I have no problem with a "super", sit it above Platinum + V-Sport = Best of the Best. (for Cadillac anyway :) )

Cadillac needs more of that........

Cadillac will not have a chose but move the current and next Escalade upmarket when the XT6-8 models debut in few years.

It will be interesting if the current Escalade will get a refresh and more exclusive features will be brought down to this vehicle from CT6.
De Nysschen references the possibility of an Escalade V-sport!
