my mom has a 2005 AWD equinox. she just on her way home and the CEL came on. she stoped at the shop they said its a miss fire. they cleared it she started driveing it the temp went all the way up coolant fan stayed on for about 5 min after the car was off and the key was out. there rpms are jumping around and she said she smelt a egg smell. there water leaking from the front passanger side of the motor. any ideas? it has 70k on it

thats what im thinking to. but when the water pump blew in my sunfire it didnt do all that odd stuff the low coolant light came on thats it. my dads going to look at see if its still under warrenty but i dont think it is. we bought it used from a GMC dealer almost a year ago

my dad went and looked at the paperwork when they bought it and he paid for a 3 year warrenty so he is happy about that. but the dealers about 20min from my house so today him and my mom took the equinox and my cavalier and it got 10 min down the road and it over heated again and it wouldint go over 10mph so they had to pull over to let it cool down. the place they pulled over is the ford dealer for the dealer we bought the equinox from. same owners. so he is going to see if they can tow the car over there its not makeing it. he said it has no heat and the fans are on max power and can here them inside the car.

they dealer called today blown head gasket lol. my dad said they are traded it in. there going to run it this winter then in april sell it. he has his mine set on a silverado Z71

the dealer called us today and said the heads are cracked and have to be replaced. they are covering it under warrenty because my dad paid for the 3 year warrenty on it. so now they said next week it should be back.
