Was it a black box on the dash?

If so that is an IBOX a common engineering tool.

The car was probably an old S1 or S2. Being used for 2010 development or software bug fixing for 2009.5

Yes, it was a rather large, wide box on the dash. I've seen them lots of times in protoypes before. But like I said, all of the Journeys I've seen in the last few months looked totally stock, no obvious signs of test equipment. And I would have thought nothing of it, were it not for the strange connectors under the back bumper.

So Apple is making test equipment now? I'm not sure how much I'd trust it...My iPod is going back tomorrow for service. It hasen't been right since I got it. :

IBOX is from the mid 90's, way before Apple started the iStuff.
