GM is launching the C8 Corvette in Southern California tomorrow and at this point, everyone who's going probably already knows they're going. But even if you weren't invited to the reveal, you won't have to depend on my dumb opinion and pictures. Not for very long, anyway.

That's because, on July 27, Chevrolet will be showing off the brand new, mid-engine Corvette at the 2019 Concours d'Elegance of America in Detroit. Better still, GM's VP of global design, Michael Simcoe, will be there to tell you all about how and why it looks the way it does.

"Concours d'Elegance of America has a long, respected history celebrating the beauty of automotive design, and that's a history we intend to honor properly," said Simcoe. "Attendees will be treated to unique perspectives and stories from a number of our lead designers."

But don't just wait until then to see the 'Vette. Come back late tomorrow night to find out everything you can about the C8 as we report live from the event.
