The 2010 Mustang is on the cover of the June Car and Driver.

Did EVERYBODY miss that?

I just got it and the new front end looks nicer, but it looks like a fully loaded model, yet has no fog lights or grille lights like the GT.

It's only the front 3/4 view, but the rear quarter looks a lot like the new Camaro.

Car and Driver said it's going to have a 6.2 rated at 400hp? I thought they were making a 5.0 with that? I'm lost.

I'd post a pic but were not allowed to copy magazines right?

Yeah I'm not sure if anyone knows for sure what Ford is going to put into the Mustang. Ecoboost this 5.0DOHC that 6.2 SOHC. It says the 4.6 will remain in the GT and the 6.2 SOHC will be for upper-end models. I think I'm tired of so many people claiming that they know what is happening while having different opinions as to what the outcomes will be.

The SOHC 6.2 must still be a 2 valve because even Ford wouldn't be able to hold the hp down to 400 if it was actually a 3 valver like the 4.6.

On a side note the Challenger convertible looks sweet.

I doubt Car and Driver will be the first to show us what it'll look like.

Are you sure it's not the Shelby Cobra GT500 KR?

I'll have to check that out tomorrow...

Don't believe much of anything you read in car and driver. The only thing true in the article is that the '10 mustang is going to be carrying over the current engine. In '11, the mustang gt will get the 5.0L that is supposed to be rated at 400 hp. The 6.2 is for trucks only at this point.

I hope that is juts a chop because if it is indeed the real deal then its a disappointment. The front looks really droopy but I'll hold my judgments until better shots come out and where's Igor? he usually helps shed light on cool items like this

It literally looks old and tired, as if exhausted. It needs more menace in the front.

Maybe at a higher angle it looks better.

The Camaro, on the other hand, has that mischievous grin/evil grin look. I like that.

it's a chop and not accurate - they got the basics right GT-style nose etc - but we all had seen that from the spy shots - the rest is pure fantasy from them.

Igor
Funny......id expect half-assed work like this to come from MT and not C/D......
