While I generally agree with the article's main points (design can/will drive a lot of sales in the future), I'm skeptical about Toyota leading the way. Toyota is extraordinary with respect to manufacturing, but it really does lag in design. I suppose it's possible, but their track record certainly speaks to the contrary.
