Corvette Racing is pissed this morning after the fastest C7.R could only manage 13th in yesterday's Q1 session which saw the Ford GT dominate.

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing posted 4 of the top 5 times, placing 1-2-4-5 in GTE-Pro class.

The Ford's fastest time of 3:51.185 was five seconds faster than Ford's best time from Test Day last week; and stomped 2015's pole time by 3.7 seconds.

Corvette is rightly angry--Ford's qualifying massacre came after they were given a 25kg Balance of Performance weight reduction

Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan had this to say to Sportscar365:

"At Corvette Racing we have always operated to the tenets of honor, integrity, respect and sportsmanship.

"We are going to continue to do that because that is the foundation from which we have operated forever.

"As far as BoP goes, I think you can look at the time sheets themselves from after qualifying and they are pretty much self-explanatory."
