yeah- it seems there's not a good shot of it. There is a close-up of the taillight, and the sideview of the sedan... I would like a nice full rear-shot though.Originally posted by Hunter@Dec 28 2003, 02:33 PM
I cant really see the back of the sedan, though.
Yeah- I saw a resemblance as well. **looks at the picture again** Hm-- looks very similar... I don't think we could have mistaken a shot of the G6 for the Cobalt though... the rear on the Cobalt is far too squashy for that. Does anyone know if the same designer worked on both cars?Originally posted by LGRpup@Dec 28 2003, 04:11 PM
Is it just me or do the sedans tail lights look the one everyone hated in the G6 spy pic??? Maybe they had the rear ends mixed up? Go get em COBALT!
I think Chevy is trying to make the Cobalt's rear treatment idenitcal to the C6. For instance - someone might see a C6 fly by them on the highway someday in the future (say it's a "blue devil" powered Z06 ). They would look at the rear and see the oh so familiar circular tailights.Originally posted by Mr_Pringle@Dec 28 2003, 11:03 PM

I can say that I'm happy with the exterior design of the Cobalt. The interior looks great too, but after viewing Mazda's site on the Mazda3, I can see where "par" may be moving... But-- the Mazda's interior may be more appealing to some, but many people may prefer the more conservative interior of the Cobalt. The 3 and Cobalt are in the same class based on size and price, but the Mazda is really trying to appeal to a slightly different crowd than the Chevy. Chevy should always be slightly more traditional, IMO. But Pontiac certainly needs an offering in the U.S. to compete with the likes of the Mazda3.Originally posted by parakleets@Dec 28 2003, 09:08 PM
Look at Mazda's site, and check out the new Mazda3. It is a small car, in Cobalt's class, and it's interior design and exterior design far outshine Chevy's similarly new entry.
