At the very least it sounds interesting. I, like most of you, hope that this four door is 'in addition to' ---not 'instead of.'

i've posted before in these forums that I thought a larger pontiac sedan should be in the vein of the CLS, it still has the four door practicality to carry a few extra folks, but it has a lot of style, which is probably more important to a pontiac customer than a chevy customer. If you base it off the next GTO, that sounds like a brilliant business decision to me.

To me, this is horrible news if Pontiac does decide to go with something like that. Concerning the Grand Prixs of the past were only 2dr cars until I believe 1990. Now you can only purchase a 4dr. That's one reason I'm going to hold onto my 2000 G/P coupe as long as I can. I really hope Pontiac doesn't ruin the GTO name by making a 4dr car like Chrysler has with the Charger. The GTO needs to remain a 2dr and the possibility of the quad option could be acceptable, but only barely. That's my opinion though.

Do Not.........I Say Again...........Do Not Build A Four Door GTO!!!
What The $uck Are They Thinking. Why Don't You Just Add Two More Doors to Every Coupe And Be Done With It.

God......I Hate Corporate *ssholes!!!

How do you really feel?

i need the 4 doors so my kid can get in the back. i assume a lot of others do too. If pontiac is smart, they will have a quad coupe or coupe and a four door.

I'd like to see a 2-door GTO with a 4-door version of it under a different name. Maybe they could bring back the name Bonneville rather than use G8?

They need to bring back the name temptest, have these engine options: Standard HF2.8 as base, Optional HF 3.6, Lemans package 5.3L V8, then have the Tempest GXP and give it the LS2, if they wanted to get really crazy slap the LS7 in that beIitch.

as for the Grand Prix, keep the name, put it on a the CTS or maybe STS platform, use the 2.8HF the 3.6 HF and for its top engine, keep the 5.3L

for the G6 rename it grand am, make its top engine a turbo 2.8HF making about 295 HP.

Solstice is fine, just give it a bit more power.

Bring back the Firebird, at a true mustang fighter, base model would get the new 3.9L engine with DOD, optional engine would be the 5.3L v8 top engine would be the LS2 for those who want the V8 but there should also be a limited run of Turbo Trans Ams, using a 475HP Turbo LS2 this would simply be called Turbo Trans Am.

then destroy the vibe or at least turn it into an AWD rally car in the spirit of the WRX and Evo.

and NO vans, CSVs or any of that crap. Make buick have those (as seems to be the idea at GM) and then make GMCs actually more capapble than their chevy counter parts. (bring back the Typhoon and Syclone so that GM can claim fasted truck and suv. build them to actually be work trucks, just with ungodly power and supreme handling for a truck.

Thats my take.

Yeah, maybe it will be a sedan that is like the GTO, I wouldn't think GM would make a 4-door using the GTO name.

Noooooo. No more 4 Door "coupes".

The only acceptable version would be the "Quad Coupe" style with small suicide doors.
Please keep the GTO a true coupe. If it works for the Mustang it can work for the GTO.
This is the same **************** Pontiac pulled in '01 about the Grand Prix... "It's a coupe-like profile!"

Not good news

Well, since GM seriously needs to recapture market share, and since 4-door sedans sell literally ten times better than coupes, I would not necessarily be against it. It CAN be done tastefully . . .look at the Chevy SS concept or Buick LaCrosse concept. They were gorgeous sedans that are way more stylish than any coupe out there right now.
