Chrysler Group LLC Announces New Company Name: FCA US LLC

December 16, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group LLC, the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based automaker, today announced that it has changed its company name to FCA US LLC.

The name change is effective immediately and follows the naming convention of its global parent company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA), which officially adopted its new name in October when it listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The name change to FCA US LLC does not affect the company’s headquarters location in Auburn Hills, Michigan, its holdings, management team, board or brands.

FCA US, together with parent FCA, continues to work toward the business plan presented on Investor Day in May 2014. Additionally, the Company remains proud of its joint heritage. FCA US continues to build upon the solid foundations first established by Walter P. Chrysler in 1925 as well as a rich Fiat heritage that dates from 1899.

FCA US employs more than 77,000 employees worldwide, with 96 percent of its workforce based in North America. FCA US operates 36 manufacturing facilities, including 23 in the United States, six in Canada and seven in Mexico.

C.h.r.y.s.l.e.r........FCA US LLC.

This makes "New Coke" look good.

.
I guess this makes "Imported from Detroit" more accurate than ever...

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised.

With any corporation, if you don't control your own destiny, somebody else will.

I remember the stylish, individual Chrysler Corporation cars of the 50s and 60s, complete with proud Pentastar logo. Very sad.

So does this mean there cars will be labeled FCA US 200C or FCA US 300C? That is a lot of meaningless letters and numbers to remember.

If you read the post it says it does not affect the brands. A Chrysler brand car will still be marketed as a Chrysler.

Why go through all the trouble and cost?
Chrysler is making some of the best cars in its history. Unlike Daimler AG, Fiat is not sucking Chrysler dry.

What Market? GM/Ford are already gone. FCA could make a skateboard and as long as it hauled 4 kids the dog and a hockey bag people would but it.

Look at the Journey for a reference. I have 8 used ones on my lot right now, there are a total of 1 Edge 0 Escapes on the Chys, oh wait sorry FCA's lot right now.

You don't think the attraction was the cash pile in Chrysler's bank account?
If you are naming a company based upon contributions it should really be CFA................Maybe more like JeepChryslerFiatAuto JCFA ;)

It's pronounced F**k Us.

Limited Liability Corporation.

They weren't exactly sitting on a pile of money when they were acquired.
I don't care what they call it, but the Chrysler 200 is one GREAT looking car. Other than the Viper and Challenger, it's The best looking Chrysler product in at least 3 decades!

Poor Chrysler; it's been passed around more than one of those Super Bowl "party" girls.
