As you can tell I have yet to come up with a name, but anyway here are the basic ideas of this vehicle. YES it is a car based truck or Ute. Although originally intended to be on a frame such as the G8 ST, It might also be on the lambda or a slightly modified version of this. Anywho..

Why is it versitile?
-The roughly 5.5 foot bed is just that, a bed. Like the Honda ridgeline, it has a lockable trunk under the bed, located right behind the cab. As a dealer or factory option, that space can be filled with a fold away bench seat, when opened it provides seating for 2 and a squeezed third (think K5). If you enjoy the open ride K5 style, wonderful. If not, There are optional caps for the bed, one is a half cap half tonneu (sp?) cover fr the bed. YOu've seen the numerous jeep tops out there, think of it as the same thing. So instead of a 3 seater (yes bench seat up front in the base model) you can now have a 6 seater, all inclosed. With the help of GM's Mid-Gate technology, this becomes a regular SUV/car interior, while still maintaining a few cubic feet of cargo space.

Powered by a V6, supercharged V6, and an optional V8

Top is the original, bottom is a newly revised one. I think i like the over all dimensions of the new one better. The bottom one is also a rough Intimidator version, with a slightly lowered stance, geared for speed and gas mileage over power. Lots of add ons to customize

Re: Chevrolet Need-a-name

greenbrier? lol thats unique. Haven't heard it before.

el camino is ..idk it needs something originial.
I have always liked cheyenne..

I was thinkin the Chevy Rado (pronounced silver-RADO)
and it will be available in the Cheyenne (off road package) or Bolt (street) package.

Or, the Chevy Bolt..bolt meaning bolt on.. referring to the versatility of the vehicle

Greenbrier was a van based Corvair in the 60's. I like Cheyenne since the concept came out years ago. WHat the Silverado should have been IMO

Re: Chevrolet Need-a-name

I've got it!

I shall call it the Chevy Throwback. Why Throwback..because f itsIt's available in the Scottsdale (off road, work, 4x4 model). It will have smaller packages within this added to it, such as a construction/trade workers package, hunting/outdoorsmen, and motorsports (boating, ATV, MotoX) The Cheyenee is the base model. Will have a few options from each, but not all. IT's a mixture of the two suitable for those who live in the suburban areas..meaning they drive mostly on road or highway, but may need/want it off road. The final version is the strictly street version, named the Intimidator. LIke the XFE it comes with a version tuned for city and traffic.

Throwback - not the name I would have chosen, but not bad at all. The idea is pretty cool, too. Keep it up.
