Was a great race to watch and New finally got one. Good weekend overall for racing with Monaco earlier in the morning. And now off to France for the 24.

The introduction of IndyCar’s Aeroscreen three years ago had a significant impact on the cars’ aerodynamics. The extra turbulence caused by the safety device has made it more difficult for drivers to follow closely on high-speed ovals such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Chevrolet and the Indianapolis 500 are indelibly linked in more ways than one. The crash between Kyle Kirkwood's and Felix Rosenqvist's cars (Rosenqvist's car used a Chevy engine; Kirkwood's a Honda engine) in Lap 184 resulted in one wheel from Kirkwood's car becoming detached, flying over the the catch fence, and landing on a Chevy Cruze owned by race fan and local Indianapolis resident Robin Matthews.
Penske Entertainment, owner of IMS, graciously offered to get Miss Matthews a new car. Hopefully the new car is a Chevy.

Pontiacs needed to be more personalized and limit themselves to being more performance based with have fewer offerings, which might make them a little more exclusive. But doing that and pairing them with another division such as Buick would not have been possible politically.
