Does Chevrolet in Europe sell anything other than rebadged Koreans cars?
No they don't. Corvette's are not sold as Chevrolets here in Finland. Just a few years
ago you could get several US models like Tahoe, and the Pontiac Transport rebadged
as a Chevy. Now, Chevrolet is basically just low cost Korean cars.

Chevrolet North America and Daewoo are becoming one.So Chevrolet will have a global line up.It all start's with the new Chevrolet Cobalt/Daewoo Nubira.
And the sooner the better. I can't wait to see GM fully integrated as a single, world-wide entity. This will erase the idea of "Korean Chevrolets" and "European Cadillacs" etc.

I wouldn't think Tahoe sales in Europe cracked triple digits. GM offered some NA offerings but not many were sold.

I'd like to see Chevy's based on previous Opels. A Aveo based on the Corsa C for example.

I still don't see either HHR in our dealerships or Korean Chevrolet in the first 10 of sale Charts. But maybe thanks to Chevrolet marketing (which is quite agressive unlike Cadillac which marketing doesn't exist), Chevy will jump finally to the first ten and some people will consider the nice Epica in place of the fugly Avensis.

Funny thing is that I can see more Cadillac cars on the street as I see advertising those Cadillacs.:

With Daewoo now under GM's aegis, I think the next round of Korean designs will be more "global" themed and likely much higher in quality. The Captiva/Antara certainly aren't "cheap" vehicles by any means. I'm kinda excited to see what the next round of global Chevvies will be like!

Please, Please, Please GM.... build that "tight" little Groove! I'm itching to buy a high-quality urban runabout to shuttle the kids to Whole Foods in!

that's really sad, Cadillac made a campaign at the very beginning. There was one billboard in the city centre with a BLS on it. Funny thing is that near the place where the billboard was someone who works there bought a BLS (I often see it parked there). There were also a few silly 'it's not a car it's a Cadillac' commercials on TV and a few Magazine ads showing mostly the BLS.
GM concentrated only on advertising the cheapest model. Audi, Lexus and Mercedes often advertise their both most expensive cars and more affordable ones what seems to work. For example there are many R8 commercialls combined with new A4 commercials.
In my opinion an unpopular brand should advertise even more than the already well known one. Is it that difficult GM?

Coming back to Germany, the last time I was there was in May. I only saw a few Cadillacs, most of them were classic oldtimers which were the only cars that turned pedestrians' heads on the street. It's good to hear You start seeing new Caddies on the streets. As far as my observation is concerned I have seen 2 STS, one old CTS, 1 SRX , 1 BLS and 2 Escalades in Warsaw for the last two weeks. Not bad.

here's a German XLR (let's hope the news about it's redesign in 2010 are true, not those that say it will be killed)

Definitely good news for GM but I think it's sad to see how well GM is doing overseas when compared to their operations here in North America. Don't get me wrong, GM has been pumping out some awesome vehicles and there is a lot more to come in the future, but here in North America there are obviously other things that need to be fixed.

Either way this is good news. :)
