Celebrity All-Car Showdown
by Ann Job

The flashy cars of the stars roll onto the red carpet to vie for the "King of Bling" title at GM's inaugural event.

Celebrities are accustomed to sharing the red carpet—with each other. Typically they don't share the spotlight with 5,000-plus-pound "stars" made of sheet metal, glass and rubber. Unless, of course, the glittering vehicles are their own rides—customized to the hilt—and the event is General Motors Corporation's first All-Car Showdown.

The event, which was part of the buzz at this year's NBA All-Star game, took place at a studio lot in Hollywood and was hosted by Shaquille O'Neal of the Los Angeles Lakers. Stars such as rapper Snoop Dogg, actors Beverley Mitchell and Frankie Muniz, as well as pro athletes including Bryon Russell of the Lakers and Az-Zahir Hakim of the NFL's Detroit Lions opened their private garages and brought their custom rides to vie for the first "King of Bling" award.

Plus, why isn't he driving his Escalade? Is his dad driving for him. Man I hate how some stars who can't drive yet (though Muniz can) have customized cars in their garage for show.

BTW, I'm wondering why Muniz didn't get a NEW Escalade, but a previously owned one. Was it signed by the basketball player or something? Hmm, odd...
