SHANGHAI, March 29 (Reuters) - Car sales in China in 2003
nearly doubled to 2.04 million units, according to official
data, after breaching the million mark for the first time in
2002, driven by an economy that expanded 9.1 percent last year.

The following are passenger car sales figures for the
largest domestic and foreign players in China in 2003:
