Glowing review for the STS in the latest Car and Driver. It doesn't appear to be on the website yet, at least not that I could find.
Their complaints: they found the steering to be non-communicative, a criticism that surprsied me given my recent experience in a CTS which in my opinion had excellent steering feel - no, not a sports car where the wheel dances in your hands, but definitely in a league with the last-generation 540i, for instance. The other complaint was that the ride was firm. Well, duh, I say. It's a sporting kind of a car, remember? Besides, they praised its ability to soak up the bumps, so I don't know where they're giong with that.
Aside from that, they gave nice praise to all other aspects of the car.
The picture is coming clear from this round of car book reviews: the STS looks like a total winner. Woo hoo!
Now if Cadillac would just put a little more info on the website. I'd like to be able to play with configuring and pricing one, for instance. The reviews keep talking about the fact there are many, many different configurations available and I want to go explore 'em!
Does anyone know when they're set to hit the dealers? I read that production started 6/1 . . . . I just gotta see one, particularly because I have the distict impression that this is a car whose charms are not fully conveyed in photos.
