NEW YORK (Reuters) - Car buyers sued Ford on Monday complaining that a limited edition of a modified Ford Mustang was not so limited after all.

The class action lawsuit on behalf of a New York man and other buyers of the 2007 Roush Stage 3 BlackJack vehicles claimed they paid a premium price of nearly $59,000 (30,000 pounds) last year because Ford advertised that only 100 would be made.

I am sure if you offered him $59,000 (or 30,000 pounds)....he won't hesitate to sell it to ya. :D

That is actually an interesting question. I read that they ended up building 200 instead of 100 of the vehicles, and $ 59,000 X 200 = $ 11,800,000 which is what I read the lawsuit was originally asking for (not the 12 million listed in the article). Are these guys looking for just a refund?

Its an interesting case.

So...do they want to keep the cars?

This opens the doors for a class-action brought by disgruntled owners of Ford Five-Hundred Limiteds that are now suffering from dire resale values.
On the contrary, they are limited, as opposed to fully capable. Likewise, this also applies to resale values. No truer badge has ever been applied.:p:

The owners actually have no case. I saw an article about this on another website and apparently the roush certificate that comes with the car says that only 100 will be made for that specific model year. There is no mention that only 100 will be made for its entire run.
