Not surprised, the enthusiasts are always the first ones out of the gate. People probably don't know what to expect from the V6 yet so thats why the LS/LT numbers are low. The mags keep saying that the V6 is a force to be reckoned with. We shall see....

6,000 though. Oh yeah!

Good deal... I hope that the numbers only get stronger and help GM pull out of the red....

GM needs a turnout like this for a majority of their car offerings.... bring the same attention to detail and marketing to the other nameplates and I'm sure that GM can pull through... but, it's going to be hard with the limited resources that are becoming all the more limited...

Nice numbers, but it's too soon to get excited. We're judging the initial sold orders for an enthusiasts' vehicle that's been several years coming.

Let's see how Camaro is doing 6-12 months out. Also, can the GMI web admins add 'Camaro' to the silly spell-check dictionary for the vBulletin software? It just seems odd that a GM enthusiast's web site flags the word 'Camaro' as an error.

Totally unremarkable for a product that has been overexposed - had this ugly thing had pre-orders of 50,000 units, that would have been something to crow about. The fact that 6,000 fools are willing to own this mishmash amateur attempt at building a Camaro is only testimony to how stupid they are.

Poor GM sycophants - grabbing onto 6,000 orders is likely the last time you'll have any good news from GM in the next two years.

6,000 orders for a cars that's been out of productions for years and hyped for years? I'm not too impressed. I don't see this thing having legs unless gas prices stay low. Even then, CAFE will eventually kill it. Get one while you can!

6,000 SOLD orders is pretty damn good for a vehicle that doesn't start production for 3.5months and won't be available for sale for 4 full months.
I would expect orders to be around 20,000 by the time it is released and once dealers are allowed to order for inventory it will soar above that.

The car's only been out of production for 6 years. It's been hyped for 2 years. The fact that it has 300 HP and 27 MPG alone makes this car a winner.

Dude, WTF??

guys, guys. I should have added '' emoticon to show I was sarcastic. Just look at the policy of automakers today. Most of them think about canceling V-8s and replacing them with smaller engines. The popularity of SS Camaro shows what people really desire in a sports car. GM I want to tell You, keep on developing small fuel efficient cars and make money on them but keep your hands off V-8 RWD limousines and sport cars.
