Racing. Sometimes it sucks. Sometimes you spend a whole Sunday waiting for something to happen only to have the same boring driver win the stupid race yet again.

And then sometimes the pack goes four-wide down the front straight for a photo finish, as happened today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

NASCAR's weekend got spoiled thanks to heavy rain, so the the Xfinity Series was out on track today trying to sort out the results before presumably racing to their trailers and on to the next event.

The was always going to be good, since none of the drivers have had practice sessions or qualifying this weekend, but as they entered the front straight and the end of the race's first stage, John Hunter Nemechek, Justin Allagaier, Ryan Preecem and Cole Custer could have all finished the stage in first.

By the time they crossed the line, first place Nemechek was only 0.036 seconds ahead fourth place Allagaier (Ryan Preece finished second and Cole Custer third).

Even though this wasn't the end of the race, it was a pretty exciting way for the session to end. But if you want solid last-lap action, you could always make the trek to Toronto for the Camping World Truck Series, which never fails to satisfy.
