IMSA has made final tweaks to the Balance of Performance ahead of Saturday's running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Unfortunately for Cadillac its DPi-V.R was the only in the prototype class to get hit with increased sanctions even after the rocket-on-wheels was hit with a BoP penalty in late February ahead of the official Sebring test.

After dominating the Rolex 24 at Daytona IMSA officials hit the trio of Cadillacs with a decrease in horsepower courtesy of a 1.5mm reduction in airflow through its pair of air restrictors, plus a reduction in fuel capacity and had its refueling process slowed through through a 2.5mm tightening of the fuel hose restrictor.

After Cadillac's cars smashed the field during testing at Sebring, IMSA has decided to once again hit the DPi-V.R with BoP penalties. Both the Action Express Racing and Wayne Taylor Racing teams will roll out at Sebring this weekend with an extra +20kgs to ballast tacked on. The 6.2-liter V8 was once again slowed with a further 0.6 mm reduction in airflow, bringing the total to 2.1mm since WTR won the Rolex 24 in January.

Practice for the 65th annual Sebring race begins on Thursday ahead of the race on Saturday.
